There are two factions in SWTOR (star war the old republic), Galactic Republic and Sith Empire. Each faction has 4 playable classes and all of the opposite class with the same skills and abilities. The only difference between them is name. In fact, everyone has the same choices in terms of character role and abilities regardless of the faction.
